Here are some thoughts, i hope they help ya!
The trick with finding buses to convert is multifaceted:
start putting out the intention for it of course :)

once you start looking at them you want a good mechanic as the buses that come into the market can be pretty well used, and the initial investment is where you'd rather put out a few g's more than get skunked on "a steal".

if you are interested in converting it to veggie oil that is another consideration of money($1,000), time and qualified mechanics/ it helps if everyone on the bus is interested in understanding how it works too, so that no one tries to skip filtering steps, shuts it off on veggie overnight, etc.

to me that's part of the consciousness element- we are all going to have to understand more of how things work, how to make them work better, and how fun it is!!!! (have fun for a CHANGE!)

i often look at it like you want to pull together the "dream team" so that you would have someone tech and mech savvy on board-

there are a bunch of internet sites to look for buses, even ebay/ remember you want to have it looked at first though-
